Getting Started

Welcome to The House Never Wins (THNW) — a decentralized PvP gaming platform where the house never wins, only players do.
This guide will help you get set up, connect your wallet, and jump straight into your first game on the Solana Devnet.

We will deploy on Sonic Testnet for EVM based network in the near future.

1. Connect Your Wallet

THNW is curently built and optimized on Solana, and we recommend using the Backpack Wallet (opens in a new tab) for the best experience.

Steps:

1. Install Backpack:
   Download and install the Backpack Wallet extension (opens in a new tab) for your browser.
2. Create or Import a Wallet:
   Follow the setup instructions to create a new Solana wallet or import an existing one.
3. Connect to THNW:
   Visit the THNW app and click “Connect Wallet”. Approve the connection when prompted by Backpack.

2. Select a Test Network

To start playing, switch your wallet to one of our supported test networks:

• Solana Devnet — Ideal for general testing and gameplay.

Switching Networks

In Backpack:

1. Open the wallet settings.
2. Choose “Network” → “Solana Devnet”.
3. Confirm the change.

3. Get Test Tokens

You’ll need test tokens (both SOL and SV) to participate in wagering matches. These tokens have no real-world value and are used purely for testing but will allow interaction with the testnet interface and be used as a point for reference for the future airdrop.

How to Request:

• Telegram: Join our Solvent Labs Telegram Community (opens in a new tab) and request tokens from the community admins.
• Discord: Coming Soon.

Once received, your wallet will automatically reflect the test tokens.

⚡ Get Solana Devnet SOL

Solana transactions require a small amount of SOL, even on test networks.
Here’s how to get free Devnet SOL:

Option 1: Using the Solana Faucet Website

1. Go to https://faucet.solana.com (opens in a new tab).
2. Connect your wallet or paste your Devnet wallet address.
3. Click “Request airdrop” to receive 1–2 SOL instantly.

Option 2: Using Solana CLI (for developers)

If you have the Solana CLI installed:

solana config set --url https://api.devnet.solana.com
solana airdrop 2

4. Play Your First Game

THNW’s first two mini-games are:

1. 🎯 Nearest Number — Guess the closest number and win.
2. ✊🖐️✌️ Rock, Paper, Scissors — A fast-paced on-chain duel.

Each match takes less than 15 seconds to complete, making THNW the perfect place for quick, high-stakes PvP fun.

5. Explore the Leaderboard and Free Play

• Leaderboard: Track your performance against other players. Wins, streaks, and volume are ranked in real-time on-chain.
• Free Play Mode: Try out games risk-free before joining real stakes matches.

No credential logins, no KYC — just connect your wallet, play and refer your friends.

6. Fairness, Transparency, and No House Advantage

In THNW:

• There’s no central authority or hidden “house” taking your money.
• All outcomes and payouts are handled by immutable smart contracts.
• The fee structure is minimal and will be governed by future token holders, ensuring true community ownership.

Everything is on-chain, transparent, and provably fair.
